This album has one simple goal: TO OCCUPY EVERYTHING. From delicious sub bass to crunchy smooth mids to sprinkled frosty high ends, Triptonikhan has woven the sonic spectrum into a delectable treat served so rare it’s still bloody. Drawing from the power of rhythm and liquid human souls, this album blends the lines between electronic dance genres into a delightful bouquet with a little something for everyone. Various sampling techniques both analog and digital were employed, destroyed, and rebuilt from the subterranean lairs of the mole people up to the stars. With a diverse sample bed ranging from Turkish folk music to the free speech movement at Berkeley, the eclectic array of sound trinkets found within will bring a geometrically askew cube of tears to the eye of every machine elf within a ten block radius. Fasten your seatbelts or caveman-like length of animal skin and get ready for this crazy ride.
In addition to being the anniversary of Triptonikhan’s debut album ‘Toxicana Turnpike’, the release date of 'Occupy Everything' marks the twenty-third renewal of the artist’s yearly lease on life, embracing the coming years with a musical milestone that reflects a journey inward towards self expression and outward to the world.
While completely coincidental, the literal occupation of wall street in New York occurring simultaneously to the release of this album shares the same sentiment of revolution as is expressed in the samples from the 1960’s free speech movement that bookend the album. The serendipity of these parallel events does not escape Triptonikhan.
In the vein of free speech, and with the goal of reaching as many people as possible, the album is available to download for free with a name your own price option. If this music is something you enjoy please consider making a donation. Many hours of work and passion went into making each song as crazy as possible for your entertainment.
