Get ready for the next generation of Triptonikhan. Munchausen by Proxy is another psyched out bass adventure through the realms of insanity and dancing. Just as ‘Toxicana Turnpike” toyed with the concept of ‘radio-activity’, “Munchausen” plays with the notion of ‘music as poison’. The concept spawned from thinking about corporate pop music and the poisonous aura it creates within culture. This album is both a rebellion against and synthesis of said concept. Given that munchausen by proxy is normally aimed at children it made sense that the CD be under 10 songs and not able to act with it’s own free will. Rather, the songs are forced from scene to scene, without a satisfying sense of closure until the Bobobobs save the day.
All music made by Scott Hanshew.
